Aaron McIntosh reports

Aaron McIntosh and Jon Paul Tobin competed in the UK National Championships over Englands Bank Holiday weekend , Aaron Racing in the Raceboard Class and Jon Paul in the Mistral Olympic Class. Both had solid performances Aaron wining 6 out of 8 races in comfortable style and Jon Paul proving that he is on the way up quickly.

Racing was held in Portland Harbour in Weymouth , winds were light on the Saturday , only one race was run due light winds and fog rolling in , visibility was down to 20 meters at times.

Sunday sailors were greeted with a 15-20 knot Southwesterly and racing began promptly at 9.30am , 5 races were sailed in excellent racing conditions a little cold for the Kiwis but it didn’t slow them down. Aaron dominated by wining 4 races and not finishing the 5th race due to gear damage , his fin mysteriously fell out.

Monday similar conditions 2 races , Aaron won both and Jon Paul did what he had to , to win his class. And the National Champs were clean swept by the Kiwis.
