With the new season looming closer, and the finding of a new wave spot thats works on an easterly. Wave competitions in Christchurch is becoming a reality. Running every weekend in October if windy at waikuku or Ashworths.
An annual trophy is up for grabs as well.
We may not be the best wave sailors but it will be spectacular

Although the Nationals (sadly) will not be coming back to Christchurch this season, everything is abuzz with a new format for introducing sailors into racing.
The idea is for competent sailors to form a team of four and to race that team against others.
