Orewa/Whangaparoa

Orewa is a busy place in summer being only 1/2 hrs drive north of Auckland. The small town has lots of shops, places to stay and things to do; all along the road which runs parallel to the sandy beach. The Waiwera Hot Pools are just 10 minutes drive north - great after a hard day windsurfing. Whangaparoa is a residential peninsula with many beaches on both sides.
