New Plymouth
New Plymouth is a harbour port on the west coast surrounded by
several good surf beaches. You can also sail out to the Sugar
Loaf Island where a few seals reside. The museum is also worth
checking out as New Plymouth was a pop- ular home for Maoris
before the first settlers took over and there were many wars
fought there.
